
The cricketer Suresh Raina has been pulled out of the Indian Premier League (IPL). A few believe he has departed himself due to personal reasons whereas, others say that after being testes COVID-19 positive, Raina is now a confirmed COVID-19 patient.
Not only Raina, but almost ten members of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have been tested positive for the Coronavirus in Dubai. This must be an alarming sign for the Dhoni’s leading franchise as they are falling short of players. However, the exact number of COVID-19 positive from CSK camp has not been formally revealed but according to the reports, one of the officials has also been tested with the symptoms.

“Suresh Raina has returned to India for personal reasons and will be unavailable for the remainder of the IPL season. Chennai Super Kings offers complete support to Suresh and his family during this time,” the quote was attributed to CSK CEO KS Viswanathan on the team’s Twitter handle.
The BCCI was to reveal the complete schedule on 29th August that has been now delayed after the virus strike CSK.
The schedule has still been pending amidst the COVID-19 strike at UAE. If the cases continue to rise, it might be a threat for the board to organize the league.
The league will commence on 19th September in full swing but with all the matches behind closed doors. UAE is still not free of COVID-19 and the more cases being reported to have interrupted deciding the schedule.
