Suresh Raina might feature once again in the camp
In an interview with CricBuzz, Suresh Raina told that he might once again feature in the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) camp to play the thirteenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Earlier, the player has left in the midway after his family suffered a tragedy in Punjab. Preferring family over everything, he had to face the utmost criticism until he cleared the real reason personally on the call to the owner.

As things are now clear, and it has been days since his families suffered a tragedy, he might be looking forward to joining the camp.

“I’ve been training even while quarantining here. You never know you might see me in the camp there again,” Raina told Cricbuzz.

According to the owner of the CSK, MS Dhoni is to make a decision on Suresh Raina’s return. In an interview, he has said if there exists a perfect skipper, we are no one to decide.

“Look, please understand, that’s not my domain (whether Raina will come back or not) at all. We own a team, we own the franchise, but we do not own players. The team is ours, but the players are not. I don’t own the players, I am not the cricket captain. I have never told them (team management) whom to play, whom to take in the auction, never. We have the greatest captain of all time. So, why shall I even interfere in cricketing matters?”

The cash-rich T20 league is all set to start from 19th September. However, the formal schedule has not been revealed yet after more than ten contestants of CSK were tested COVID-19 positive.
