Probably one of the best-retired spinners, Shane Warne has asked MS Dhoni to join The Hundred following his retirement from international cricket.

The Hundred is a highly-anticipated tournament managed by the England and Wales Cricket Board. Its rules differ from regular cricket as a hundred bowls are delivered in a single inning.

Shane has offered him to join his team, London Spirit, for the upcoming season.

Notably, The Hundred was all set to be commenced 2020’s summer but it has been moved to 2021 in the wake of the COVID-19.

“I’m just wondering if I can get him down to the London Spirit next year for The Hundred. Ok MS, if you would like to continue to play outside of the IPL (Indian Premier League), would you like to come and play for the London Spirit at Lord’s next year in The Hundred?” said Warne as quoted by Hindustan Times.

Shane said it in the commentary panel sitting along with Wasim Akram commenting during Pakistan vs England test match. Wasim sarcastically asked if he would be able to afford the star. In the reply, Warne said he will be finding the money.

“Warney if I was MS Dhoni, I would be asking you how much budget do you have,” said Wasim to which Warne replied: “I’ll find the money, MS.”

Dhoni was known for his calmest captaincy tricks and knew how to dig most out of his players. The world will never witness a captain like him who took his team to the designation of winning all three ICC trophies; Champions Trophy, T20 World Cup, ODI World Cup, and two Asia Cups.shane
