Shahid Afridi: I will remain thankful to Harbhajan and Yuvraj Singh

Shahid Afridi, the former Pakistani all-rounder, in an interview with Pakistani news channel revealed that he will stay thankful towards Indian cricketers, Harbhajan Singh and Yuvraj Singh.

Recently, on a humble appeal of Afridi, Indian cricketers donated for his foundation known as Shahid Afridi Foundation. A few days after, Afridi visited Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) and said some words that Indians found disrespectful towards their country and prime minister. However, Afridi added a bitter truth when he mentioned Modi more dangerous than the Coronavirus after the brutal behavior of the Indian Army in Kashmir.

As a consequence, the Indian officials and cricket players slammed Afridi and advised him to stay beyond his limits and not to concern their country. Harbhajan Singh cut off all the relations with him whereas Yuvraj Singh said that he won’t be helping Afridi anymore after what he said about their Prime Minister, Modi.

“This is very upsetting what Shahid Afridi has come up with, talking ill about our country and our Prime Minister. This is just not acceptable,” Harbhajan told to Sports Tak

“Really disappointed by @SAfridiOfficial’s comments on our Hon’ble PM @narendramodi Ji. As a responsible Indian who has played for the country, I will never accept such words. I made an appeal on your behest for the sake of humanity. But never again,” Yuvraj said.

Afridi, later on, has gone for thanking the player’s services and said that they are helpless and speaking in favor of their country because they have to live there by obsession.

“I’ll remain thankful towards Harbhajan & Yuvraj for supporting my foundation. The real problem is that this is their compulsion. They live in that country. ‘Wo majboor hain’ (They are helpless). They know that people are being oppressed in their country. I won’t say anything further,” Afridi was quoted as saying on Pakistan channel Hum News.
