RCB, despite reaching the final stages several times, has failed miserably as the last stages and never has grabbed a single winning trophy. Virat Kholi’s aggression is notable on the field when he captains Men in Blue, however, India is struggling under his captaincy as being best throughout a tournament, the team fails at the last stages, e.g, Champions Trophy 2017 and the World Cup 2019.
Brett Lee, the former Australian cricketer, believes Virat takes all pressure on himself and his buddies from RCB shall share to ease their skipper.
He says if he was in their place, he would have loved to enjoy watch and taking Kholi’s burden on his shoulders.
RCB should take the pressure of Virat Kholi: Brett Lee
“I just want Kohli to go out there and enjoy his cricket, take all the pressure off himself as a captain and player. Because he is so good at that level, I think sometimes with all the pressure going around in the team, people are failing, he tries to get all the players on his back and tries to carry them. All the RCB squad should help out in taking all the pressure off Kohli,” Lee was quoted as saying.
Brett, who has featured in IPL from 2008-2013, has played for two teams; Kings XI Punjab and Kolkata Knight Riders. He believes one of his teams, Kings XI Punjab can make it towards victory for sure as he wants to see the side winning the thirteenth season of the cash-rich league.
“The knowledge, the experiences, will definitely help. Kings XI need to win, they have got a great squad, they have got a wonderful team that can definitely get close and close but they have not got over the line yet, so, I’m actually waiting for that to happen. A great franchise to play for, I put up my hand and say that was a lot of fun to play for that franchise,” he added.
