
MS Dhoni is all set to participate in the Indian Premier League (IPL) as he has been spotted practicing eagerly to take part in the cash-rich league.
The player’s desires are to mark a comeback in international cricket after giving an excellent performance as a captain, wicket-keeper, and a player for his franchise, Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
The official of the Indian cricket team has praised his abilities and revealed the veteran has been spotted playing that shows his craze to participate in cricket.
MS Dhoni gears up for IPL 2020
“He visited the JSCA International Stadium Complex last week. He practiced at the indoor facility using bowling machine,” the official told.
“He did batting practice for two days over the weekend but has not returned since. I honestly don’t know what are his plans or whether he will come back for training. We only know he has visited the facility for practice,” the official added.
The IPL is ready to open its wings by 19th September and will last till November 8th.
According to the chairman of IPL, Birjesh Patel, the dates are now confirmed by the council after the government’s approval and the revealed dates are formal.
The rest of the details will be discussed in the meeting scheduled for next week.
The league will go ahead in full fledge. The broadcasters’ contracts were to cost the board and IPL negatively hence, they looked forward to the financial blows that could scare them and decided to hold IPL. if the IPL would have canceled, BCCI could have suffered a mega-loss of INR 4000 crore.
Dhoni’s leading side (CSK) has won three titles since 2008 and ranks second after Mumbai Indians. The side seems super-excited as they earlier started practicing sessions in March. Unfortunately, the practicing was stopped in the midst of the wake of globally spreading Coronavirus.
