Virat Kohli and KL Rahul, who are the captains of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) respectively, were in a conversation in an Instagram live session. The players discussed many things and looked at ease off the field.
KL Rahul will ask IPL to ban Virat Kohli, AB De Villiers from next season
Rahul was asked for the change he would like to see in the next season of the cash-rich league. The players sarcastically added that he would ask the administration to ban Kohli and AB De Villiers.
Notably, De Villiers and Kohli are doing well for RCB as the Red Army ranks third on the table. Rahul believes it is enough as it is the time for other players scoring coming forward.
“To start off, I think I would ask IPL to ban you and AB for next year. Once you have achieved a certain amount of runs, I think, the people should say ‘it’s enough’. Once you get 5,000 runs it’s enough, now you guys let the others do the work,” Rahul told Kohli during the candid convo.
Moreover, Rahul stated that he would like to see conceding more runs on a six that will cross over a hundred meters. In his reply, Kohli added that the bowlers will be starring harshly at him in the dressing room if something like this will happen. The RCB skipper also added that he would like to review the no-ball or wide ball.
“If I say yes to what you said, the bowlers are going to give me looks in the change room. I am going to say as captain, I would like to have the ability to review a wide or a no-ball which could be a waist-high full-toss. We have seen historically how big these small things can be, in such a high-profile IPL and T20 cricket,” he added.
