“Whatever are the UAE rules for tourists will be followed by everyone,” Patel told AFP.
“The IPL will take place between September 19 to November 8. This is confirmed and the rest we will decide in the (IPL) governing council meeting next week.”
It is to be noted that it is going to be the tournament in full swing which will be completed in 51 days.
“It is going to be a full-fledged 51-day IPL. We are in touch with the ECB — Emirates Cricket Board. And we will get clearance from the Indian government soon,” he said.
Earlier, the league was all set to be kicked off by 29th March but the several delays amidst the Coronavirus delayed the league shortly. BCCI was looking for every possible window to organize the cash-rich T20 league. After the ACC and the ICC have canceled the Asia Cup and the T20 World Cup, BCCI has got a vacant window of September-November to hold it and have decided 19th September as the initiative date.
