Brett Lee, the well-known formal Australian bowler, sees some potential in Dhoni’s leading side, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) as he says the side is among favorites to lift the IPL 2020 trophy.

CSK is counted amongst the side with most mature players having experience in all three departments. He believes the wicket conditions in UAE will suit the side’s spinners and reckons they can equal the number of winning titles to that of Mumbai Indians (4 titles).

“I reckon their strength is that their players are a bit more elderly, mature. They’ve got that youth coming through but they’ve got a lot of players who’ve been around a long, long time and I’d say that’s their greatest strength,” Lee was quoted as saying on Star Sports’ show Cricket Connected

“It’s definitely right up there and that will definitely suit those wickets. Recently, I’ve looked at the forecast for the next two or three weeks. It’s 40 degrees, plus the wickets will surely turn. Therefore, I feel CSK will feel a lot more at home. Imagine all those spinners getting big rips, big turn. I reckon they are definitely suited for this tournament and should definitely be favorites,” he added.

Dhoni’s leading side (CSK) has won three titles since 2008 and ranks second after Mumbai Indians. The side seems super-excited as they earlier started practicing sessions in March. Unfortunately, the practicing was stopped in the midst of the wake of globally spreading Coronavirus.

The IPL is ready to open its wings by 19th September and will last till November 8th. Also, the side’s skipper, Dhoni, is all set to participate in the IPL 2020 as he has been spotted practicing eagerly to take part in the cash-rich league.

The player’s desires are to mark a comeback in international cricket after giving an excellent performance as a captain, wicket-keeper, and a player for his franchise, Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
