
The decision on the Indian Premier League (IPL) still hangs on by a thread as the cash-rich league’s fate is dependent upon the T20 World Cup’s schedule.
As ICC has still deferred the decision on the mega-event, no one is assured if the event will take place either in October-November Window or it will be shifted to 2023 or 2021.
Once the tournament gets shifted, IPL franchises will be having a vast and opaque window to organize their tournament but as a result of many ICC’s meeting where no statements have been finalized in regards of holding the T20 World Cup, BCCI now feels like that the global cricketing body is hanging the decision to tease the Indian board.
Despite everything, BCCI has now decided to take a call on its cash-rich T20 league as the destiny of the World Cup lies in ICC’s hands.

“Those announcements and outcomes are not in our hands. The T20 World Cup, for instance, is being postponed so let the announcement come when it has to. It is time for the BCCI to start planning for the year ahead,” an official of BCCI said while talking to the Times of India.
IPL was all set to go ahead by 29th March but the inconveniences caused by the Coronavirus within the country and across the globe have delayed the league until further notice
