The Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) of the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) has blocked an unauthorized cricket league that was featuring India’s current skipper, Virat Kholi’s photo for its promotion.
The league was named as NCR cricket league that was to be commenced by 11th August. Being an unofficial business, it has been removed by ACU.
The organizers of the unauthorized business were busy in selecting the registered players but it got blocked in the midst.
It was all set to be hosted by Uttar Pradesh. Along with signing the international Indian players, the players from Ranji Trophy were also inducted and this is the reason why BCCI got intervened.
It was also be telecasted live on YouTube. The BCCI says it won’t have intervened if it was mohalla cricket but being an unofficial side, the world’s richest cricket board must have to cancel their plans.

An official from BCCI shared the details upon the same recently. “We intercepted them at the stage of team selections. We sent out an advisory to all our registered players not to participate,” BCCI ACU head Ajit Singh was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times (HT).
“If they get our registered players and they get exposed to corruption at an elementary stage, it is not good for their careers or the game,” says Singh. “But if someone stages cricket with mohalla (street) cricketers, we can’t do anything.”
It has been months since there is no cricket. Die-hard fans of cricket are waiting eagerly and this could be the reason why they thought of starting their own league.
